Yoram Eliyahu and his Food Project

Yoram Eliyahu sponsors the Food-In-Need Project at Chabad, which helps over 300 families.

Yoram Eliyahu is actively involved with Chabad of Flushing and has been working with this organization for the past ten years. His involvement began when Yoram became aware of the many Jewish families in New York who lack the ability to provide for their family the basic food necessities.

Since then, Yoram sponsors the Food-In-Need Project at Chabad, which helps over 300 families during the Jewish holidays. This program gives Jewish families the necessary food items needed in order to help them have a warm and wonderful holiday meal. Every year, deliveries consisting of chicken, bread, vegetables, meat, fruit and more are delivered to needy families all over New York.

In addition to his sponsorship, Yoram and his family also help go door to door every year to deliver the food to the families. "I take my children on these deliveries," Yoram says "in order to teach them about the importance of giving back and performing a good deed."
